Portrait of Ukrainian poet Nikolai Platonovich Bazhana was performed by portrait artist A. N. Yar-Kravchenko in a series of works "Gallery of Soviet writers ". Mikola Bazhan - Ukrainian Soviet poet, public figure, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (1951). He translated "The Knight in the Panther's Skin" by Sh. Rustaveli (1937, the Rustaveli Prize), "Davitiani" by D. Guramishvili (1950), works by A. Navoi, A. Pushkin, V. Mayakovsky, A. Mickiewicz, modern Russian, Georgian, Polish poets.
