Presented: a photograph of Yuri Mikhailovich Chigirev (1987, in a ceremonial suit, with awards) and photographs of the jubilee medal "70 years of the USSR Armed Forces" (front and back). The medal is a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm, made of brass. On the front side of the coin: in the central part are placed profile portraits of the pilot, sailor and soldier of the land forces, facing to the left. On the circumference of the medal are the laurel branches. In the upper part of the obverse of the medal - an image of a five-pointed star with a sickle and a hammer in the center, in the bottom - the two figures "1918" and "1988". On the reverse side of the medal in five lines is the inscription "70 YEARS OF ARMED FORCES OF THE USSR". Below the inscription is a laurel-oak wreath. The edges of the medal are edged with a ledge. All inscriptions and images on the medal are convex. The medal with the ear and ring is connected to a pentagonal shoe, covered with a silk moire ribbon of red color. The edges of the ribbon are edged with green stripes, in the middle of the tape there is a longitudinal strip of blue color and two strips of golden color on both sides of the blue. Location: From a private collection. - Chigirev Yury Mikhailovich (born January 20, 1925 in Rostov, Yaroslavl Region) - went to the front in January 1943. He studied at the Tambov Machine-Gun School. Member of the Battle of Kursk. He fought in the Bryansk Front. Was injured. He fought in the third Belorussian Front. Participated in the combat operation "Bagration". During the war he also served as a cryptographer. Has numerous awards
