The photo shows a monument to the minesweeper of the "Shch-31" minesweeper and artillerymen of the Northern Fleet who died on May 9, 1944, located on the territory of the military section of the city cemetery in Polyarny. The monument is a vertical stela of black stone, in the upper part - an image of the flag of the Navy and a five-pointed star framed on one side by a laurel branch, and on the other by a St. George ribbon. In the center there are lists of dead sailors and artillerymen. May 9, 1944 as a result of a raid of German aircraft on the trawler "Tchch-31", 28 crew members and 34 artillerymen of the Northern Fleet, who were on the ship, were killed. Some bodies could be lifted from the water and buried in the cemetery of Polyarny. The monument was installed on May 8, 2014 with the assistance of the commander of the search group "Memory" Konstantin Alekseyevich Dobrovolsky .
