Romance "At the Fireplace" was first recorded on a record by Peter Batorin, accompanied by E. Polyakov (guitar) on April 18, 1913 in Moscow. Romance was included in the repertoire of Nina Dulkevich, Maria Emskaya. In 1917, on its basis, director P. Chardynin shot the eponymous film with Vera Kholodnaya in the title role. The author of the romance, presumably, is the popular pop singer of the early XX century, Batorin Petr Ivanovich (? - 1923), according to other sources - Garin (Garfield) Sergei Alexandrovich (1873-1927), prose writer, poet, playwright. "Forget about the fireplace, the lights went out in it" - the second series of the salon drama "By the Fireplace" (1917). The film did not survive. Materials used: Poems.
