
Issues of the development of the Russian judiciary to fully consider in the Presidential Library
March 28, 2014 in the Presidential Library will be held the Russian scientific-practical conference "Russian judiciary: Past, Present and Future Prospects". The event will be attended by the judges, legal scholars, young professors, graduate students, undergraduates, law students and faculties of the country. The second scientific session of the conference is combined with second Senate readings for young lawyers.
The conference will begin at 10.00, The Senate readings - at 12.00. Both events will be live broadcasted on the portal of the Presidential Library.
The conference is organized by the Presidential Library and the Saint-Petersburg State University. The main topics will be: the judiciary and the mechanism of the state, historical and contemporary models of the judicial system, court proceedings and individual rights. According to the results of the conference will be published a collections of works.
Senate readings are a joint project of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Library and the Russian public organization "Association of Lawyers of Russia". The leader of Senate readings will be judge of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation Gadis Hajiyev. A lecture "Status and prospects of the Russian legislation on the judicial system" will be given by Vladimir Pligin, chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Construction.
The selection of the venue is not accidental. The Presidential Library is one of the largest centers for storage of unique historical materials on the history, theory and practice of the Russian statehood. Much attention is paid to the documents of modern Russia, materials, reflecting the development of public authorities and legislation.
Currently at the website of the Presidential Library is held an electronic registration of participants of the conference in the section "Conferences". The applications will be accepted until March 25, 2014.
