The British State Library presented the new project — newspapers from a XIX-th century are available in the Internet site of a main book-depository on Foggy Albion.
The new digital archive in a format pdf includes in itself 49 national and regional newspapers which were published in 1800-1900. Among them there is publications which are in demand now too: for example, Scottish Western Mail and Glasgow Herald, and also English regional Northern Echo. Total wordage of available articles — about 2 million pages.
Among large plots which include such materials like reports about Jack Potroshitele, Napoleon’s wars and Trafalgarsky fight, bankruptcy of banks, the Crimean war and slavery abolition.
