Russian language: Russian language preservation discussed in Tyumen

The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Russian language as a factor of sustainability of the state and moral development of the nation” for the second time kicked off at the Tyumen State University on September 30 2010.

The conference has been organized by the Russian Association of Russian language and Literature teachers, the Tyumen State University and the Tyumne Oblast Union of Journalists. This year conference is intended to mark the Year of the Teacher in Russia and 80th foundation anniversary of the Tyumen State University.

Among the reports delivered at the conference were the following: “Russian language as an official: problems and prospects”, “Ecology of the language”: understanding of metaphors and modern language situation”, “Modern linguistic textbooks”, “Russian language as a moral potential of the state and nation”, “Individual in the mirror of language and literature”, “Image and language of an official in the Russian literature”, “Siberian color” of the Russian word” etc.
