Digital libraries: Part of Turkish Library Archives available in European digital database

Part of the digitized material at Turkey's National Library is now available in a search platform to a collection of European digital libraries.

Nearly 30 thousand manuscripts and around 10 thousand periodicals printed in Ottoman Turkish have been included in the digital resources in Europeana database, Tuncel Acar, director of the Turkish National Library, told. 

"Being a part of the Europeana project is a prestige for Turkey. It is also a prestige for us as the Turkish National Library is the first in Turkey to be featured in the Europeana," Acar said.
