The result of implementation of the “Information society” will be obvious for every citizen of the country, the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media promise. In December 2010 the Prime Minister approved a plan of transition of government agencies and employees of federal budgetary-funded institutions to free software. According to the document, introduction of Linux in public sector is due in the second quarter of 2012 and stipulates a complete transition of federal authorities and employees of federal budgetary-funded institutions to free software.
