Information technology and society: E-books to replace paper carriers at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum

The key subjects of the IX Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, which takes place 16-18 February 2012, will be the strategic initiatives needed today in Russia, as well as promising projects, the areas of development of Russia and its regions. All the topics are related to one common policy of the forum, "The Time for Strategic Initiatives."

The IX Krasnoyarsk Forum will launch with the opening of the "Investments, Innovations and Infrastructure. The future of Siberia" exhibition. On the same day, in the context of the forum 2012, for the fourth time will be held "The Student Games. Krasnoyarsk ambitions" Youth Forum.

For the first time at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum briefcases with paper carriers will be replaced by electronic devices.

The new device is an e-book just 10 millimeters thick. Its memory contains the basic package of electronic documents of the Forum: the program, the list of participants, the videos, the screensavers, the abstracts, the logos of the partners, information about the exhibition, information on leisure activities and much more.

According to experts, the new product is more comfortable and ergonomic to use than traditional portfolios.
