
World culture: The State Historical Museum opens exhibition “Precious patterns” in Krasnoyarsk
October 20, 2012 for the first time at the Krasnoyarsk Museum of Art of V. I. Surikov started the exhibition "Precious patterns" from the collection of the State Historical Museum. The exhibition features 137 unique items of religious and secular buildings, created in Russia, Europe and Asia.
The items date from the XIV - XX centuries. Visitors will learn about the French and Belgian "Chasovnikov» of the XV century by Persian love poetry sample of the XVII century, the Russian liturgical manuscripts, they will see pocket watches from the workshops of the Swiss and London of the XIX century, a silver bucket of Prince Golitsyn, the case and Catherine the Great’s glasses, the famous crystal products of the Imperial Glass Factory, snuffboxes of the XVIII century belonged to noble people of Europe, candlesticks and other valuable artifacts. The "spool" sewing, decorating hats and clothing of residents of provinces of Russia of the XVIII-XIX centuries is of particular interest.
The exhibits of the exhibition are not only works of art but also the priceless monuments of hictory, presented the great importance for the Russian and world culture.
