
Electronic resources: The electronic version of “Key issues of development of the electronic resources collection” prepared
The “Key Issues of Development of electronic resources collection: A Guide for Libraries” is prepared by IFLA Acquisition and Collection Development and it addresses the pressing problems of acquisition of library electronic resources (ER), which under present conditions are becoming increasingly important in the formation of the resource base libraries. The management considers the key challenges of working with electronic resources: policy acquisition of the ER, selection and evaluation of the ER for inclusion in library collections (collections) and licensing the ER, analysis of the ER and renewal of subscriptions to or unsubscribe.
The edition of the Guide in Russian language is implemented by the Russian Library Association conducted with the permission of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
The guide has a strong applied nature and practical orientation. It will serve as a basis for the development of rules and technology selection and management of electronic resources, efficient service to readers, the preparation of a set of regulations and regulatory documents, guidelines for each individual library.
