
History of Saint-Petersburg: Exhibition “To the 70th anniversary of the full reversal of the blockade of Leningrad” in the Exhibition center of the Saint-Petersburg Union of Artists
January 23, 2014 at the Exhibition Center of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists opens the exhibition "To the 70th anniversary of the full reversal of the blockade of Leningrad".
The exhibition features works (painting, drawing, sculpture) of artists who survived the Leningrad blockade. Also it can be seen archival posters "Fighting Pencil", which was produced in the Union of artists during the war. Also on display are exhibits from excavations posse "Altair" on nameless height in the Kirov district of the Leningrad region and the group "Ingria".
A special place in the exposition belongs to the masking objects of Leningrad, implemented by the artists during the blockade.
The exhibition "To the 70th anniversary of the blockade of Leningrad" continues the noble and important tradition of expositions at the St. Petersburg Union of Artists marking each anniversary date of the "Leningrad Victory Day".
