History of Russia: The Museum, dedicated to the Battle of Moscow, to be created in the Moscow region
In the Kashirsky District of the Moscow region is developing a draft of historical and cultural museum complex, tentatively called "Shield of Kashira", said the head of municipal formation Dmitry Bobrov.
"Until the end of 2014 it is planned to prepare a model of the project and budget documentation. We are also working on the allocation of land for the museum in the village Zendikovo", - said Dmitry Bobrov after the meeting with the governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyev.
According to the head of the Kashirsky Dostrict, the exposition is devoted to the events of the end of November 1941, when the first Guards of Cavalry Corps under the command of Paul Belov, in cooperation with other parts, caused a counterattack against the Second Panzer Army of Heinz Wilhelm Guderian and threw it at 10-15 km to the south.
"This event, without a doubt, is important, so we would like to give a museum a regional or federal significance", - said D. Bobrov.
It is planned that the museum, in addition to maintaining permanent exhibitions, will conduct reconstruction of the historic battle of 1941.
