Russian culture abroad: International Festival of Arts “Flowers of Russia” in Austria

Within the framework of the Year of Culture of Russia and Austria and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Arts of the Republic of Austria presents from 23 to 27 May 2014 the II International Festival of Arts "Flowers of Russia" in Vienna.

The festival program is built in accordance with the basic principle of the UN Declaration on International Cooperation: "Dissemination of knowledge, to stimulate talent and to enrich cultures". The artistic attention of the project is focused on the most gifted children in Russian music and art and in the area of ​​creative and aesthetic education in Russia.

From May 23 to 27 in the exhibition hall of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Vienna is held an exhibition of the best works of students of art schools in Russia "My Country".

Also these days in one of the halls of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Vienna, the E. S> Demmeni St. Petersburg's oldest puppet theater is an interactive exhibition of dolls "European classics". Over 95 years of the theater it has been formed a unique collection of dolls. For exposition in Vienna were selected 41 dolls - heroes of European classical drama.

On May 27, the Russian Centre of Science and Arts will host a roundtable on "The role of international cooperation in the creative education of children". The meeting will be conducted by leading Austrian teachers in leisure and cultural education, representatives of the largest art schools in four Russian regions, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Also May 27 in Graz will be held a choral concert of the Mariinsky Theatre Children's Choir "Masterpieces of world music". The choirs of St. Petersburg in Graz - these two cities are twinned. Children's Choir participants present 8 Russian regions.

The festival program promotes mutual cultural development of their understanding. Events of this magnitude allow saturate positive history of cooperation and productive events.
