Internet and society: The registration of domain names in zones .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА

At the website of the Center of registration of domains RU-CENTER started the accepting of applications for the registration of domain names .MOSCOW и .МОСКВА.

From June 10 to July 10, domain names will be given to holders of depositary trademark ICANN. From July 15, the applications will be accepted from the owners of trademarks protected in the territory of the Russian Federation. Mass Media and non-profit organizations will be able to register names .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА on August 19. And since September 24, this service is available to everyone.

The implementation project of domains .MOSCOW and .МОСКВА started in 2010 on the initiative of RU-CENTER. It is implemented by the Foundation of promoting technology and infrastructure of Internet with the support of the Department of Information Technology.
