History of Russia: The presentation of the project “For the Glory of Russian arms” to the First World War Centenary in Chelyabinsk

August 24, 2014 in Chelyabinsk is held a presentation of the project "For the glory of Russian arms", ​​dedicated to the First World War Centenary. It was initiated by the Joint State Archives and the Chelyabinsk region of the Ural-Siberian House of Knowledge.

The main event of the project will be a cinema archive and documentary exhibition "Life on the background of the war". The basis of the exhibition is documentary sources of the State Archive of the Chelyabinsk region, reflecting the main stages and aspects of the Ural province during the First World War.

Among the primary sources - documents on the mobilization of troops, formation of Chelyabinsk troops, charity residents of the Southern Urals, the establishment of hospitals, the formation of a complex of defense enterprises and etc. In addition, visitors will see an interesting posters and lithographs of the First World War. All documents are submitted for the first time. 

Documentary evidence will be added with items of the First World War.

The cinema "Banner" will present a unique collection of newsreels of the First World War. By the opening of the project organizers have prepared a surprise - a musical program-support.
