Since 1914 the charity work in Russia for several years was almost entirely devoted to the care of the injured and the families of soldiers. Entirely new kind of community was acquired by the work of Sisters of Mercy - serving humanity in the most brutal, anti-human conditions.

Presented at the exhibition objects allow looking at the activities of the Sisters of Mercy in the background of the tragic events of these years. Photographs, medical supplies and instruments, documents of the era tell of the courage and patriotism of these girls and women. For example, two petitions for admission to the sisters of mercy, dated the years of the "great war", a postcard in 1915, depicting the Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna Romanova dressed as a nurse. It will be interesting to look at the book of temperature records of patients in the hospital of the Red Cross, with already a century of history.
