Society and culture: The exhibition “War and Peace” of L. N. Tolstoy” from the collections of the Museum-Estate “Yasnaya Polyana” in Tambov

October 10, 2014 in the Museum and exhibition center of the Tambov region opens the exhibition of the Museum-Estate "Yasnaya Polyana" "War and Peace" of L. N. Tolstoy". A new exhibition is spread on the basis of historical and artistic exposition museum and exhibition center "Russia remembers", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812 and foreign campaigns of the Russian army.

The main idea of this project – to describe the main stages of creation and publication of "War and Peace", the main characters through the world of objects, documents, photographs and manuscripts show the writer's creative laboratory of the training period and the creation of the epic novel.

Visitors will learn about the youth and the beginning of the literary activity of the great writer, the prototypes to the images of the main characters.

The exposition will illustrate the most interesting pages of the novel and will provide information on the current reading of the works in theater and cinema.

The exhibition project "War and Peace" L. N. Tolstoy", created in the Museum-Estate "Yasnaya Polyana" to the 150th anniversary of the beginning of work on the novel (1863-1869), it has already been in the different cities of Russia: Kazan, Ryazan, Gukovo, Salsk, Kamensk-Shakhtinsk and Belaya Kalitva, and now he is presented to the citizens of Tambov.

The exhibition will run until January 23, 2015.
