To the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum: The exhibition “The Hermitage of Her Imperial Majesty” in Saint-Petersburg

December 9, 2014 in the Nicholas hall of the Winter Palace as part of celebrations, dedicated to the 250^th anniversary of the State Hermitage museum, opens the exhibition “The Hermitage of Her Imperial Majesty”.

The exhibition tells of not only formation of the Hermitage collection, one of the best in Europe in the XVIII century, but allows the viewer making an idea of the museum of the Empress Catherine II, following the description 1794, left to us by I. G. Georgi – an author of the first guidebook through the museum.
