
To the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum: “Ball of History” in the 3D-projection in the Palace Square in Saint-Petersburg
December 6, 2014 on the Palace Square in St. Petersburg will be unfolded a unique action devoted to the 250-year history of the State Hermitage Museum and its masterpieces.
The entire facade of the General Staff Building will be a large-scale screen for three-dimensional dynamic presentation, about the most significant and dramatic episodes in Russian history, a witness and a direct participant which was a museum. Protagonists and the actors will be museum exhibits.
Visual technology «3d mapping» creates the optical illusion of space, almost reviving the past century in front of the spectators.
Starting from 19:00, every half hour all the inhabitants of St. Petersburg will be free to visit the Palace Square, 12 minutes to go through the history of the Hermitage and see »Ball of history 3D Mapping».
