The State Tretyakov Gallery stores the most important, key works of Fedotov. In his time P. M. Tretyakov was managed to acquire a unique series of sepia with deployed plot scenes, one of the examples of the picture “Widow” and a number of paintings.

Later in the collection of the gallery were included works from the collections of K. T. Soldatenkov, F. I. Pryanishnikov and others. If the artist's paintings adorn the museum's permanent exhibition, the graphic works are exhibited very rarely.
