Museums of Russia: The representative office of the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts is opened in Ulyanovsk

May 22, 2015 the branch of the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Ulyanovsk, and timed to its opening the exhibition "Embodiment of Dreams", dedicated to the founders of the museum - Ivan Vladimirovich Tsvetaev and Yuri Stepanovich Nechaev-Maltsov. The branch of the museum is located in four rooms on the second floor of the A. A. Plastov Museum of Modern Fine Arts which after the renovation will continue to operate under a new name - the "Museum of Fine Art of the XX-XXI centuries".

The ceremony of signing the Agreement on Cooperation was held in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.

The agreement provides cooperation of the Arcady Plastov Ulyanovsk Museum of Modern Fine Arts and the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in the framework of a long-term program "Dialogue of museums". Opening of the Pushkin Museum will be held during the III International Cultural Forum held in Ulyanovsk in September 2015.

The exhibition program "Dialogue of museums" has been held in Ulyanovsk more than 15 years. During this time there were held 10 joint exhibitions, which were involved in the exhibits from the collections of both museums. So, from the collection of the Pushkin Museum in Ulyanovsk were exhibited works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali, Francisco Goya, Rodin, Aristide Maillol, Alphonse Mucha, masters of Japanese prints of the Ukiyo-e school.
