Information technology and culture: The State Russian Museum has opened its virtual branches in Bucharest, Sergiev Posad and St. Petersburg

The information and educational centers of "The Russian Museum: Virtual Branch" project have opened in May 2015 in Bucharest (Romania), Sergiev Posad (Moscow Region) and 547th school of Krasnoselsk District of St. Petersburg.

The opening of the 167th information and educational center of "The Russian Museum: Virtual Branch" project took place on May 15, 2015, at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Bucharest. This is the sixteenth branch on basis of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo abroad and the first virtual branch of the State Russian Museum in Romania.

The 168th information and educational center of "The Russian Museum: Virtual Branch" project opening happened on May 21, 2015, in Sergiev Posad at the Central Regional Library named after V. V. Rozanov.

The 169th virtual branch of the State Russian Museum opened on May 29, 2015, in the 547th middle school of Krasnoselsk District of St. Petersburg.

At the information and educational centers of "The Russian Museum: Virtual Branch" project users can get acquainted with the masterpieces of Russian art and culture represented in the collections of the State Russian Museum and the art museums in Russia that became the project partners. Rich library of multimedia programs and movies will allow visitors to take a fascinating journey through time and space, to get an ample information about the artists and their works, and to take a look at the historical events in Russia through the eyes of famous Russian artists.
