History and culture: The exhibition “Saints of the Russian land” in Khanty-Mansiysk

July 8, 2015 in Khanty-Mansiysk starts working the exhibition of icons from the collections of the Museum of Nature and Man "Saints of the Russian land". The exhibition introduces visitors to the icon image of Orthodox saints, will reflect their importance in Russian spiritual culture through the story of the canons and traditions of worship.

In addition to Russian there will be presented images of the saints, born and carried on the teachings of the neighboring of Russian territories, but of particular importance for the Russian spiritual culture.

The exhibition, presents visitors icons of St. Sergius of Radonezh, St. Simeon Verkhoturye, St. Nicholas, one of the most revered saints in Siberia, and many others.

The exhibition will run until August 23, 2015.
