Russian culture: The IX Assembly of the Russian World in Suzdal

November 3-4, 2015, on the eve of National Unity Day, the Russkiy Mir Foundation traditionally hosts the IX Assembly of the Russian world. Subject of the Assembly this year: "The eternal values ​​of Russian literature".

This year, declared by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Year of Literature, the site of the Assembly is Suzdal - a pearl of the Golden Ring of Russia, a city that has preserved unique monuments of history, culture and ancient architecture.

The work of the Assembly was attended by government officials and civil society activists, political experts, scholars and teachers of Russian language and literature, figures of culture and education.

Representatives of the Russian world from more than 70 countries all over the world gathered to discuss the current problems: "Values of the Russian World", "Russian literature: the eternal questions", "Ways of Russian civilization", "The language of literature of the Russian world", "Russian and foreign publishers and their role in maintaining the credibility of Russian culture", "Reading and Literature: what to teach for?".
