History of Russia: The new lecture “Historical Saturdays” to be open at the State Historical Museum

The State Historical Museum (Moscow) will host a lecture "Historical Saturdays". The idea of ​​creating the lectures belongs to the State Historical Museum, the Russian military-historical society with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The best historians will talk about the country's past, current Russian entertaining, exciting and authentic. Meetings will be held every Saturday, twice a day, starting from February 6, 2016. The most interesting pages of the past of our homeland will be presented in the context of world history. Instead of the dry statement of facts students will be offered interesting stories about the events that influenced the development of the country.

Invited speakers - outstanding scientists and historians from the Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor of leading universities of Moscow, museum workers deserved. Materials of lectures are designed for all people who are not indifferent to the historical heritage of our country.

Students have the opportunity to dive into the secrets of the origin of ancient Russia, its relations with the outside world, to trace the development of the Russian state for centuries, to learn more about the device, culture, religion, Russia, the origins and consequences of the wars that she led, the value of revolutionary upheaval and reform, see how our country is perceived in the West and the East, and how it knew his place in world history.

The lectures provide an opportunity to understand the causes, course and result of the main facts of our history, to think again about the unique past that shapes the present, to understand the continuity of Russian history.
