International events: The Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts participates in the Salon of Drawings in Paris

From March 30 to April 4, 2016 in Paris is held a jubilee - the 25th – Salon of drawings. This is the main international trade fair, which presents the most reputable galleries that are specialized in the figures of the old masters and modern graphics. The number of participants consistently - 39. Hard selection guarantees the highest level of representation. This year, the Pushkin Museum received the invitation to the French.

In the Department of Graphics of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts are kept 380,000 prints and drawings. From this rich collection it was necessary to select a total of 26 works, which will go to Paris.

The museum was invited to the Sloan of drawings for the first time. The event brings together dozens of galleries from France, Italy, America, England. Part of the space is always given to one museum, which collection is recognized as the model. This year it is the Pushkin Museum.

Besides the works of Western masters in Paris arrived paintings by Russian artists - Marc Chagall, Malevich, Serebryakova, Deineka.
