Libraries and society: The VI All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Library foundations in the digital era” in Saint-Petersburg

From March 28 to April 2, 2016 in St. Petersburg, the National Library of Russia is held the VI All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Library foundations in the digital era: traditional and electronic resources, acquisition, use".

The Conference is attended by experts in the field of acquisition of library collections, bibliography, information workers and other specialists of libraries, publishers, aggregators of electronic resources, representatives of the companies.

The conference program includes:

- Plenary discussions

- Reforming the system of legislation on legal deposit of documents in the digital environment. Electronic publications "print on demand", as objects of deposit legislation. Analysis of domestic and foreign experience; Balancing the interests of authors, publishers, libraries, and users;

- National Electronic Library. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow… Possibilities of using NEB resources to regional and municipal libraries. Method of selection of content to be included in the NEB.

- Russian book publishing in 2015-2016: the evaluation, trends, analysis, forecasts;
