Society and book culture: The Russian State Children’s Library presents the Week of Children’s and Youth Book

Annually during spring vacations in Russian libraries are held Weeks of Children’s and Youth Book. The main themes of the action in the Russian State Children's Library in Moscow in the Year of the Russian cinema became a children's cinema and animation. The library will host meetings with script writers and artists, screenings of cartoons and feature films, meetings with the film crew, book presentations, concerts and theatrical performances.

The week of children's and youth book will be open on March 26 by Mikhail Mokienko with an interactive program "How to make a film?" On this day, everyone will be able to try themselves in the role of directors and actors, and to take part in these shootings.

Also as part of the Week will be held international events: Day of India (with Indian Cultural Center) and St. Patrick's Day (in conjunction with the Embassy of Ireland). These days the RSCL will feature the exhibition-fair of innovations of children's literature, which will be attended by more than 30 publishing houses.
