Information technology and society: Google Company registered a patent for a book with elements of augmented reality

Google just has registered two patents on new technology for printed books. The first concerns the creation of an "interactive book" with motion and pressure sensors built into its pages and spine. The sensors get activated while turning pages, making special projectors to create different visual effects. The special dynamics will take over the book’s soundtrack.

The second patent involves connecting the book to your phone or tablet over the integrated microprocessor. The reading technology is as follows: a smartphone connected to the book automatically activates an appropriate video and audio when page is turning. Visual content complements the content of the book and creates deeper immersion. In addition, a reader will be able to scan with special device the pages of the book receiving an additional content, including a regularly updated.
