Exhibitions: Writing instruments of the XVIII-XX centuries are presented at the exposition in Moscow

In Moscow was opened the exhibition "The friend of idle thought…", which is the variety of ink and writing instruments of the XVIII - the second half of the XX century. About 100 objects from the collection of "The Battle of Borodino" Museum-Panorama, gallery "Three Ages" and private collections are on display at the Museum "Kutuzov hut".

The change of artistic styles from the late classicism to "Stalin's empire" was reflected in the objects to the letter. Inkstand made of porcelain and wood, bronze and glass pleasing to the eyes of their owners as decoration and accompanied throughout life as a working tool.

The exhibition features the traffic bureau beginning of the XIX century, sets for writing of papier-mâché made by Fedoskino masters of fishing, ink tools, decorated in memory of historical events, such as the victory in the Patriotic War of 1812 and the launch of earth orbiter.

The exhibition is complemented with the letters, travel notes and memoirs of the XVIII - XIX centuries.
