History and Culture: New exhibition project "Sholokhov center" in Rostov-on-Don tells about the life and work of M. Y. Lermontov

September 30, 2016 in the city of Rostov-on-Don in the "Sholokhov Center" of the M. A. Sholokhov  Museum-Reserve is opened the exhibition ""Here I was happy…" M. Y. Lermontov. Life and work". This is a joint project of all Lermontov museums in the country, the purpose of which – to show full of endless adventures and wandering life of the poet, in which everywhere, wherever he was, he found material for works of genius.

The title of the exhibition were the lines from the poem "June 11, 1831" - "Here I was happy…".

Fund meetings of Lermontov Museum store unique materials. Visitors will see autographs, paintings and drawings of the poet, his personal belongings, books, documentary sources, handwritten albums, household items. They clearly illustrate the way of life of the Russian genius, his multifaceted and diverse work.

The exhibition will run until December 4, 2016.
