Exhibitions: Documentaries of the Russian museum funds are presented at the exhibition "Kursk" in Moscow

The Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War presents an exhibition "Kursk bulge", dedicated to one of the greatest, fiercest and bloodiest battles of the Second World War - the Battle of Kursk. The exposition consists of items from the museum: models of weapons, uniforms and equipment of the opposing sides, personal documents of the participants of the battle, award lists, gratitude to Supreme Commander, campaign leaflets and posters, newspapers in those days, cards and fighting schemes, photos and copies of works of fine art.

The exhibition is complemented by documentary photo materials from the funds of the Kursk State Regional Museum, the National Military History Museum "Prokhorovka field", the boundary of the Central Museum of the FSB of Russia and the Agency "Voeninform" the Ministry of Defence of Russia. The authors of the exhibition tried to recreate the chronology of a grand battle, which includes training for fights, deliberate strategic defensive battle and the two counter-offensive operations: the Orel and Belgorod-Kharkov.

The final section of the exhibition is devoted to the results of the battle in Tierra del arc, which largely contributed to the completion of a fundamental turning point in the war, the further strengthening of the anti-Hitler coalition and the collapse of the fascist bloc, resulting the occupants liberated the rest of the territory of the Soviet Union, and then the European countries.
