Society and Culture: Exhibition "Space philately" in St. Petersburg

The exhibition "Space philately" is opened January 12, 2017 at the V. P. Glushko Museum of astronautics and rocketry (St. John Ravelin fortress).

The exhibition is timed to the 110th anniversary of the Chief Designer of rocket-space systems of Sergei Pavlovich Korolev (1907-1966).

The exhibits - single stamps, stamps with coupons, vintage units, vintage sheets that are sequentially, starting with the launch of the first satellite, reveal all the stages of space exploration. The most widely available stamps are of flying into space of Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova, and the stamps, dedicated to international cooperation programs. In addition to domestic stamps of foreign countries are presented: Cuba, Bulgaria, Poland, Mongolia, Vietnam and others.
