8 June 2017

The Staray Ladoga Historical, Architectural and Archaeological Reserve (the Leningrad region) begins working on converting into electronic form the accounting records - books of receipts and inventory books. In addition, the museum plans to digitize documents, photo documents and rare books from relevant funds for the transfer of images of museum items to the State Catalogue of the Museum Fund of the Russian Federation.

For these purposes, the ELAR Corporation supplied the Elarscan A2 planetary scanner to the Staroladozhsky Historical, Architectural and Archaeological Reserve. The new equipment was purchased by the museum to digitize both accounting documents and exhibits.

The rare book of the museum-reserve contains manuscript (mostly Old Believers) and printed monuments of the XVIII-XX centuries.

ELARSCAN A2 is really a universal device for digitizing books of various formats and thicknesses, folios, albums, filings of documents, folders, drawings, maps and posters and etc.
