Territory of Russia: The exhibition "Maps of the Russian North: Reality and Myths" in Moscow

October 18, 2017 in the Ivanovo Hall of the Russian State Library (Moscow) an exhibition "Maps of the Russian North: reality and myths", which is part of the inter-museum project "The Development of the North. A thousand years of success", is opened.

The exhibition presents handwritten and printed maps on which you can imagine the history of the development of northern territories: ancient and modern atlases, general maps of the Russian state and maps of the provinces, navigation maps, maps of expeditions and many others.
