Winners of the II stage of the photo contest "Siberia: How Beautiful You Are Today!" are determined
Today, November 8, 2017, at the West-Siberian Innovation Center in Tyumen, the winners and prize-winners of the II stage of the All-Russian People's Photo Contest "Siberia: How Beautiful You Are Today!" were awarded. The Presidential Library acted as co-founder of the project.
The photo contest was timed to coincide with the Year of Ecology in Russia. Not only professional photographers, but also amateurs, as well as residents of Siberia, ready to provide old pictures from family albums and archives were invited to participate.
The jury noted the work of photographers from Tyumen, Tobolsk, districts of the Tyumen region, as well as Salekhard, Chita and the Trans-Baikal Territory. The nomination "Beauty of Wisdom" was won by the work "Siberian herbalist" of Sergei Padyshev. In the nomination "Mom, eh Mom!" the best photo was made by Eduard Ulybin. Another work by this author - "Weightless Happiness" - is recognized as the best in the nomination "Brave Bride".
The event was attended by Alexander Novopashin, Adviser to the Governor of the Tyumen Region, Oleg Shor, Director of the Presidential Library Branch in the Tyumen region, Vladimir Kuznetsov, Chairman of the Union of Journalists of the Tyumen region, Alexander Skorbenko, Chief Editor of the “Tyumen region Today” newspaper, Anatoly Omelchuk, Head of the “Region-Tyumen” TV and Radio Company a many others.
All materials sent to the photo contest "Siberia: How Beautiful You Are Today!" will enrich the Presidential Library's fund, which today has more than 580,000 items of storage.
The exhibition of the works of the winners and participants of the second stage will be presented in the regional center and in the municipal districts of the Tyumen region.
