
The Presidential Library video lecture will tell about the century-old history and today's day of the state archival service of Russia
March 29, 2018 the Presidential Library will host a video lecture from the cycle "Knowledge of Russia" on the topic "The History of the State Archival Service of Russia", timed to the 100th anniversary of the archival service of Russia. The event will begin at 11:00 Moscow time and will be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library portal.
The video lecture will be focused on the development by the Union of Russian archival figures of the decree of June 1, 1918, which initiated the creation of a centralized system for managing archival business and the creation of the Unified State Archival Fund; on the history of the Russian State Historical Archive and the Central State Archive of St. Petersburg, as well as on the work to ensure the preservation of documents and the use of modern archival technologies.
Participants of the video lecture will be students of the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Service under the President of the Russian Federation, the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Faculty of History and Social Sciences of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

Please, note, that the entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only upon prior request and upon showing of a passport: participants and guests of the event go through entrance № 1, representatives of the media go through entrance № 2.
