The collection "Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930)" has become available on the portal of the Presidential Library, including digital copies of documents and materials about the life and work of one of the largest innovators of poetry of the XX century. This collection reveals the multifaceted talent of Mayakovsky, who began his career in art as an artist.

Vladimir Mayakovsky, whose influence on Russian poetry is invaluable, initially showed himself as an artist. In his memoirs and autobiography, "Myself," he noted: "I want to make socialist art." This call for a new art has not left him since childhood. Born on July 19, 1893, Mayakovsky showed a penchant for satirical portraits and caricatures at a young age.
