Metric books, which help residents of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region to restore their family trees, will be added to the electronic collection of the Presidential Library. They are available on the portal from anywhere in the world. These unique documents were preserved thanks to Marina Semyonovna Ratnikova, an honorary citizen of Vsevolozhsk and the head of the Vsevolozhsk Local History Museum for many years.

Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to preserving the history of her hometown. As Marina Semyonovna explains, she obtained the metric books in the early 1980s. Local historian Vladimir Kudryavtsev used these books as a basis for his research. After that, he deposited them in the Local History Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Petrov Toksovo Secondary School. Later, they were sent to Presidential Library and digitized for the Presidential Library's collection.
