11 (22) December, 1790 during the Russian-Turkish war of 1787-1791 the armies of Alexander Suvorov captured impregnable fortress of Izmail. In memory of this important event, the Day of Military Glory of Russia is celebrated on December 24. This day marks the capture of the Turkish fortress of Izmail by Russian troops under the command of Alexander Suvorov in 1790.

The Presidential Library has posted on its portal a digitized copy of a unique document - a manuscript score of the Seventh (“Leningrad”) Symphony by Dmitry Shostakovich, the original of which is stored in the music library of the Radio House. The project became possible thanks to the interaction of the National Media Group and the Presidential Library in the field of preserving the historical memory, inextricably linked to the annals of the Leningrad Radio.

May 2021 marks the 550th anniversary of Albrecht Dürer, July - the 415th anniversary of Rembrandt. Celebrating these memorable dates, the Far Eastern Art Museum (Khabarovsk) opens an exhibition of Western European graphic art of the XV-XVII centuries "Dedication to Dürer". The ceremony will be held on April 9, 2021. The exposition will spotlight the flowering of European graphic art and its various techniques (woodcut printing, calligraphic etching, etc.).

August 29 (September 9) 1790 ended a naval battle near Tendra Cape between Russian squadron under the command of F. F. Ushakov and Turkish Navy ships. Russian Military Glory Day is celebrated on September 11 to commemorate the victory of the Russian fleet under the command of Admiral Fyodor Ushakov over the Ottoman fleet at Cape Tendra in 1790.
