The Central Museum of the Railway Transport of Russia, the Children and Youth Center in Lenskaya Street, school museums of Krasnogvardeysky District of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region are presenting the joint project “War, Siege, Me and Others”.

The Museum of Urban Sculpture in St. Petersburg presents the exhibition “Courage of the Great City”, which is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi Siege.

January 27, 2019 the Lermontov Penza Regional Library as part of the "All-Russian Historical Crossword" educational campaign delivered "Siege: Chronicle of Life" presentation marking the 75th anniversary of the breaking of the Leningrad siege.

The Central House of Artists in Moscow is presenting an interactive exhibition, which is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi - the world-famous leader of the Indian independence movement. The exhibition will be open from January 30 through February 8, 2019. The display sheds light on his experience in Southern Africa, which shaped his world outlook, the struggle for independence of India and the famous Salt March.

In accordance with the order of the Governor, 2019 has been declared the Year of Pavel Bazhov in Sverdlovsk Region. The Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Research Library has joined the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the birth of the writer and folklorist Pavel Bazhov (1879–1950).

A presentation of the Church Slavonic Language Today educational portal and a master class on how to use Church Slavonic language online resources were held in the Vinogradov Russian Language Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow).

February 5, 2019 marks the 430th anniversary of the establishment of the patriarchate in Russia. On this day in 1589, Metropolitan Job became the first patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’, and the Russian Orthodox Church itself gained independence by withdrawing from submission to the See of Constantinople. The Presidential Library ‘s portal features a variety of digital copies of rare publications on the history of the patriarchate in our country.

February 2, 2019 the Presidential Library’s electronic reading room is open until 3.30 pm due to a public event. Entrance to the building is until 2.30 pm.

To mark the 75th anniversary of complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi Siege the Vologda Regional Archive of Contemporary Political History is launching online project “REP-95. The Photo Chronicle”.

A meeting timed to coincide with the 76th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad was held at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Bishkek. The guests of the RCSC were cadets and teachers of the Hero of the USSR Lieutenant General K. Usenbekov Military Institute of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.

February 7, 2019 marks 326 years since the birth of Empress Anna Ioannovna (1693-1740). The Presidential Library’s portal features extensive collection The House of Romanov. Zemsky Sobor of 1613, one of the parts of which is dedicated to Tsarina Anna Ioannovna, who ruled from 1730 to 1740.

On February 8, 2019 at 10:00 the Presidential Library will host the annual conference and webinar "Alexander Pushkin’s Memorial Day". Students and university professors, teachers and pupils of St. Petersburg schools, employees of the National Pushkin Museum will traditionally attend the event. Other institutions of culture and education of the regions of the Russian Federation will be also connected to event via video-conferencing mode.

February 2, 2019 the Bookstore of Writers (Nevsky Prospect, 66) hosted an offsite meeting of the Presidential Library’s Poetry Club. The literary and musical evening "Blinded by darkness and light" was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege.

An exhibition “Mikhail Speransky’s Letters to Ivan Solovyov” is open at the Vladimir Historical Museum. It showcases two original letters of Mikhail Speransky - prominent Russian statesman, who was called “Genius of Good” addressed to his friend Ivan Solovyov, with whom he studied in the Theological Seminary of Vladimir. The letters are on loan from the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve.

The National Pushkin Museum Media Center presents an electronic exhibition “Your Mind and Works are Immortal in Russian Memory…”, which commemorates the tragic death of A. S. Griboyedov - head of the Russian diplomatic mission.

February 6, 2019 marks 76 years since the founding of Kurgan Region. Marking this date the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Research Library opened the exhibition "Native Land: Known and Unknown". The books and journal publications presented at the exhibition illustrate the brightest pages of the history of Kurgan Region, about the people who glorified the Trans-Urals.

From February 2-4б 2019 the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege and the 76th anniversary of the defeat of the German fascist troops in the Battle of Stalingrad took place in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ankara.

The exhibition “Icons of Kargopol Land. Revival” is opening on November 27, 2018 at the Tsereteli Art Gallery, Russian Academy of Arts Museum and Exhibition Complex (Moscow). This is a joint project of the “The Art Culture of the Russian North” State Museum Association (Arkhangelsk), the Grabar All-Russian Research and Restoration Center and the Russian Academy of Arts.

The exhibition “Red, Yellow and White” opened on November 28, 2018 in the Russian Museum of Ethnography in St. Petersburg.

The International Scientific Conference “Military Traditions in the Archaeological Context: From late Latène period to late Middle Ages” will be held from November 29 through December 2, 2018 at the Kulikovo Field Museum-Reserve (Tula Region).

The I Granin Readings took place in St. Petersburg. The event was attended by representatives of the Presidential Library, which Daniil Aleksandrovich Granin (1919–2017) has visited for many times as a friend.

The Russian State Library (Moscow) presents the exhibition “My Precious”. The display in the Rumyantsev Hall of the Manuscripts Department is dedicated to St. Seraphim of Sarov (1754/59—1833), one of the most revered saints in Rus’, the patron of Diveyevo Convent. The exhibition will be open until February 24, 2019.

The 33rd Scientific Conference “Novgorod and Novgorod Land. History and Archaeology” is opening on January 22, 2019 in the Lecture Hall of the Museum of Fine Arts in Veliky Novgorod. This year the conference is marking the 90th anniversary of the birth of academician Valentin Yanin. The name of the renowned scientist is forever associated with Novgorod archaeology, which is famous for the exceptional discoveries.
