The State Museum-Reserve of A. S. Pushkin “Mikhailovskoye” (Pskov Region) has joined the Russian Seasons Art Festival for the first time.

November 10, 2018 at 5:30 pm the Presidential Library is welcoming the Poetic Club for poetry lovers of different ages, poets, readers and performers.

A virtual exhibition project “Dedicated to Artists-Veterans of War…” was launched on the website of the State Art Museum of Novgorod Land in 2018. The project aims to promote patriotism among the population. As part of the project visitors of the website will get acquainted with works of Novgorod artists – participants of the Great Patriotic War.

The Presidential Library hosted a video lecture “Knowledge of Russia” regarding “The Time of the Time of Troubles in Russian Culture”. The event was timed to coincide with two events - the National Unity Day and the 200th anniversary of the construction of the famous monument to Minin and Pozharsky on Red Square in Moscow.

November 10, 2018 Poetic Club designed to bring together poets, readers, performers and connoisseurs of literary activity in one area was opened in the Presidential Library.

Ivan Turgenev House Museum on Ostozhenka Street has reopened in Moscow after renovations. The renewed exhibition staged in the building showcases 1500 exhibits. A monument to Ivan Turgenev and a small “Mumu” sculpture were unveiled, too. The Turgenev Block on Ostozhenka Street is a new cultural and recreational area, which is opened to mark the bicentenary of the birth of the celebrated writer.

On November 14, 2018 the Mayakovsky Library (St. Petersburg, Dutch Church Building, Nevsky Prospekt, 20) is staging a new exhibition “Reuse. Redevelop and Design. How the Dutch Deal with Heritage”, which focuses on innovative ways to redevelop and reuse historical buildings and complexes. Projects on display were designed and implemented by the Dutch in the Netherlands and other countries of the world – Russia, Germany, the USA, Italy and China.

On November 14, 2018 the Academy of Arts (Universitetskaya Embankment, St. Petersburg) is opening a new exhibition “A Desire for Antiquity”, which showcases drawings and architectural models of ancient architecture. On November 15, 2018 the St Michael’s Castle (The State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg) staged the exhibition “Unexpected Malevich”, which unveils 117 drawings by Malevich, preserved in the archive of his student A. A. Leporskaya. These drawings have never gone on display before.

On March 28, 2019 at 10:00 a branch seminar on the theme “Information Technologies in Congress and Exhibition Activities” will be held in the Presidential Library. The event is organized by the Congress and Exhibition Bureau of the St. Petersburg Committee for the Development of Tourism and the Presidential Library.

III District Festival of the Yamal Book (OFAK) has been completed in the city of Gubkinsky and Purovsky District of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.

The Pyotr Tchaikovsky International Charitable Foundation and Muzyka Publishers have completed the digitization of the composer’s complete works. The collection is now freely available on the foundation’s website.

World Theater Day, March 27 was celebrated by M. Gorky Volgograd Regional Universal Research Library with a series of events. One of the key was the interregional scientific and practical videoconference "National Theater: Past and Present", which was held under the auspices of the Presidential Library and Culture Committee of the Volgograd Regional Duma as part of the historical and cultural project "Theater as a testimony of the epoch".

March 28, 2019 the Presidential Library held a video lecture of "The Knowledge of Russia" series on "American Diplomats in St. Petersburg during the Epoch of Great Reforms". Historians Vladimir Noskov and Ivan Kurilla told about the daily life of envoys from the United States in the capital of the Russian Empire from the 1860s until the 1917 revolution.

March 25, 2019 Specialist’s Day "Library Without Borders" was held for the teachers of the Russian language and literature of educational institutions of Crimea.

Cambridge and Heidelberg universities have announced a major project to digitize medieval manuscripts.

“Pushkiniana in 20th-Century Playbills” exhibition will open on April 2, 2019 in the Pushkin State Museum in Moscow. The museum houses over 800 playbills. There are more than 40 playbills and posters on display. Supplementary materials include graphic portraits, photographs, records, audio materials and objects of decorative and applied art from museum’s collections.
