Search, examination and recovery of sunken military equipment
The section presents photo materials of expeditions on the search and survey of military equipment objects sunk during the Great Patriotic War. The expeditions were organized by OOO "Fertoing" in cooperation with representatives of federal and regional authorities, as well as with the financial support of the "Regional Innovation Investment Fund "Yamal ". The main task of the expeditions was the preservation of the history of ships and vessels of Arctic convoys that perished during the Great Patriotic War in the Kara and Barents Seas. For the period 2014-2015 the expeditions found and examined: the legendary icebreaker “Alexander Sibiryakov”, the transport “Marina Raskova”, the diver “Shkval”, the sea minesweepers T-114 and T-118, the destroyer “Deyatelny”, the German submarine U-362. During a separate expedition to the Barents Sea in 2016, a destroyer "Deyatelny" was examined. In addition, when carrying out work in the Black Sea, four IL-2 attack aircraft were raised and handed over to the Ministry of Defence.
