The anniversary of the legendary Petersburger M. M. Bobrov to be celebrated in the Presidential Library

Photographs from the personal archive with family, colleagues, students (including many well-known athletes, large and world-famous politicians), unique interview records and other materials will be showcased on August 10, 2018 at 12:00 in the Presidential Library at a cultural and educational action dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the honorable citizen of St. Petersburg, Mikhail Mikhailovich Bobrov.

The event will start with the grand opening of a multimedia exhibition, then you will have the opportunity to get to know the birthday person better by watching videos with him and an interview with his colleagues.

Mikhail Mikhailovich Bobrov was born on August 11, 1923 in Petrograd. During the Great Patriotic War he was a scout on the Leningrad front, took part in the disguise of St. Isaac's and Peter and Paul's cathedrals, the Admiralty and other objects. Also, his battle route is closely associated with the Caucasus and the mountaineering training of mountain military units.

Already in the 2000s, M. M. Bobrov organized a patriotic youth expedition "Defensive Path". Every year, St. Petersburg schoolchildren go to places of fights in the North Caucasus and set commemorative signs to the deceased soldiers of the Red Army. 2018 was no exception. Directly on the site of the expedition co-director of the "Defensive Path" Sergei Teleshov is. On the eve of Mikhail Bobrov's 95th birthday, he will make a video conferencing with the Presidential Library to congratulate the hero of the day and tell him about how many children have gone through the "defensive path" in the places of the battles, how serious preparations are for such campaigns and what role the project played M. M. Bobrov.

It is anticipated that music-gifted children - representatives of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Fund will take part in the solemn event. They will sing the "Hymn to the Great City" and congratulate Mikhail Mikhailovich.

Additionally Mikhail Bobrov himself has visited the Presidential Library for several times, participated in blockade events. Last year, Mikhail Mikhailovich read a video lecture entitled "My participation in the Great Patriotic War" - it included in the unique electronic storage facility at the Senate Square, 3. And just before the anniversary, the television studio of the Presidential Library recorded an interview with the honorary citizen of St. Petersburg, the Honored Coach of the Russian Federation, famous climber, recorded in the "Guinness Book of World Records" as the oldest conqueror of the North Pole.

Please, note, that the entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only upon prior request and upon showing a passport: participants and guests of the event go through entrance № 1, representatives of the media go through entrance № 2.
