The Life of Sensei: The Presidential Library to hold video lecture in memory of trainer Anatoly Rakhlin

The long-standing traditions of judo, its significance in our country, and the role of a coach in this martial art will be the focus of the video lecture “Person in History: Life of Anatoly Rakhlin”, that is to take place on October 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Presidential Library.

Mikhail Rakhlin, the Honoured Trainer of Russia, President of “Judo Club Turbostroitel” will attend the event.

Mikhail Anatolyevich followed in his father’s footsteps. Anatoly Rakhlin was one of the pioneers of this ancient Japanese martial art in the USSR, a truly prominent master, who had trained several generations of professional athletes.

However, it is not just sport that the participants of the meeting are going to discuss with Mikhail Rakhlin. They will address eternal issues – personality formation, lessons of friendship, honesty and decency. The discussion will also spotlight plans for the future. Attendees of the event will have a chance to ask him a question.  

The electronic exhibition “Sport as the University of Life. In Memory of Anatoly Rakhlin” will be launched as a part of the video lecture. M. Rakhlin’s book “Anatoly Rakhlin. Trainer”, available on the portal of the Presidential Library, will be of particular interest in the view of the upcoming event.
