The Presidential Library to host a video lecture "Knowledge of Russia" on "Reflection of the Time of Troubles in Russian Culture"

November 8, 2018 at 12am the Presidential Library will host a video lecture "Knowledge of Russia" on "Reflection of the Time of Troubles in Russian Culture". The event is timed to two events - the National Unity Day and the 200th anniversary of the construction of the famous monument to Minin and Pozharsky on Red Square in Moscow.

The meeting will be held in the format of a dialogue. The participants of the video lecture - well-known scientists, historians, philologists and writers - will focus on the features of the Time of Troubles, the meaning and heritage of this era for the history of our country. The heroes of the discussion will be real historical figures - impostors, Marina Mnishek and many others.

The video lecture will be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library's portal in “Live Broadcast” section.

The Presidential Library portal also provides electronic copies of old books and unique documents on the era of the Time of Troubles, presented in the collections “Overcoming the Time of Troubles in Russia” and “The House of Romanov. Zemsky Sobor of 1613".
