Dmitry Semibratov’s film "People’s World" to be screened and discussed at the Presidential Library

November 19, 2018, at 4:00 pm, a cinema club meeting will be held at the Presidential Library’s International Film Festival “World of Knowledge” where the audience will be shown one of the festival films, “People’s World”, directed by Dmitry Semibratov.

His film is a large-scale research and adventure project, implemented with the intention to rediscover the Kuriles for Russia and show the world the unique territory of the islands with their unique human and natural potential.

The film “People’s World” is a participant of the film festivals “The Salt of the Earth” (Samara), “We Will Live!” (Moscow), “Russia” (Yekaterinburg), “Glory to Russia” (Vladikavkaz), “Kunaki” (Makhachkala), “The World of Knowledge "(St. Petersburg)," Kinza "(Tyumen), "Sputnik over Poland" (Warsaw) and others.

After screening the film in the Presidential Library, viewers will be able to share their impressions and ask questions to the director Dmitry Semibratov. His name is widely known in the world of documentary films: he graduated from the directing department (workshop of S. V. Miroshnichenko) at VGIK in 2013. Now Semibratov is a teacher at the Krasnodar State Institute of Culture, the head of the Kronos Documentary Film Studio, a member of the Russian Cinematographers’ Union.

The program of the cinema club includes a presentation of the three-volume edition of Russian Cosmism (authors: Y. M. Malyshev, A. G. Semenov, V. M. Sergeev, O. P. Semenov).

The meeting will be held in the multimedia hall of the Presidential Library at the address: Senate Square, 3.
