CosmoStart-2018 All-Russian Forum to be solemnly completed in the Presidential Library

November 21, 2018, at 15:00, the closing ceremony of the CosmoStart All-Russian Patriotic Forum of Cosmonautics and Aviation will be held at the Presidential Library. The program includes the awarding of the best participants, a video report on the events of the forum, creative performances of Petersburg artists, the presentation of awards to the Federation of Cosmonautics of Russia.

At the same time, the main event not only of the closing ceremony, but of the entire CosmoStart will be a direct videoconference with cosmonaut Sergei Prokopyev, who will contact the forum participants directly from the International Space Station. While preparing to the forum among its future participants was held a competition for the best question to astronaut. The organizing committee selected 10 best questions, and now their authors will be able to get answers to them during a space communication session with the ISS.

In addition, within the framework of the closing ceremony of the forum, a solemn transfer of the symbolic pennant Rostelecom will take place. Cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov will hand over a pennant that has been in space to the management of Rostelecom, the partner of the event and the organizer of the videoconference with the ISS.

CosmoStart All-Russian Patriotic Forum of Cosmonautics and Aviation is the most important event in the life of future aerospace industry specialists in Russia - it is held to promote engineering specialties, preserve and enhance the traditions of Russian cosmonautics, patriotic and moral education of young people, and create human potential of Russian industry. Students of relevant higher education institutions and pupils of 9–11 grades are invited to participate.

The forum, which is being held for the third time this year, is attended by over 500 talented representatives of the Russian youth, as well as cosmonauts and famous aerospace figures.

The event is held by the State University of Aerospace Instrumentation in conjunction with the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Federation of Cosmonautics of the Russian Federation and the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activity. The Forum is supported by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh) and the Administration of St. Petersburg.

The event will be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library’s portal in “Live Broadcasts” section.

Accreditation of media representatives is available until 16:00, November 20, 2018.
